'Help A Star' by Nav Bharat Times

Nav Bharat Times, a leading Hindi Newspaper conducted an event at LitFest 2018 called “Help a Star”. The event consisted of the team of Nav Bharat Times and the chief guests distributed scholarships to 15 underprivileged children who scored exemplary marks in their 12th boards. Anil Kapoor, Rasmi Desai and Nora Fatehi were some of the guests who attended the event. The team of LitFest 2018 had a great time hosting this spectacular event.

'Laila Majnu' Film Promotion

UPG’s LitFest 2018 hosted a promotional event for Imtiaz Ali’s Laila Majnu on the 28th of August, 2018 at Santokba Hall. Imtiaz Ali, Avinash Tiwary, and Tripti Dimri attended the event and took the audience away with all their charm and charisma. While the air was filled with the love-vibe of Laila Majnu, and everyone humming and tapping to the same beats, the dance team of LitFest performed a short but skilled dance on the title track.

This RakshaBandhan, we celebrated the true spirit of what art is: love. On the 26th of August 2018, UPG's Litfest in association with 'The spark of change' held a special event for underprivileged kids where team LitFest taught them how to craft rakhis with their own hands. In the end, we believe that is what celebrations are about: making everyone feel special.

'Phad Painting' with Kalyan Joshi

Bringing the tradition all the way from Rajasthan, Kalyan Joshi, the founder of ‘Ankan Artist Group’ hosted a Phad painting workshop in collaboration with UPG’s LitFest on 14th September. The workshop gave an insight into the traditional roots of Phad Painting and educated the participants about the intrinsic details of this form of artwork.
